The project is partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund and comprises of a new three storey building that matches surrounding buildings.

The scheme includes 16,000 sq ft. of new laboratories, commercial kitchens, offices, training and conference facilities to provide the new base of food research and development for the North West area.
