They work closely and pro-actively with our Designers and the Project Manager as well as external legal and financial advisors to ensure that potential problems are highlighted early in the design process.
By continuous cost reappraisal they ensure budgets are maintained and as a result our projects complete on time and on budget.
We are experienced at running projects to Level 2 BIM (Building Information Modelling). This is where all members of the design team model using 3D software and coordinate their models so that they can interrogate them in greater detail.
Working this way helps engineers and architects to detect problems before they occur on site, with cost savings for the client.
Level 2 BIM is already a minimum requirement of the government for all public-funded construction projects.
Development & Strategy
Our staff are experienced in estate strategy planning and development of large sites as well as regional multi-million planning schemes.
We have surveyors who use our own condition survey software for appraisal of existing estates as a tool to determine existing deficiencies and to find the best approach to remedy these.
We carry out client option appraisals and regularly support diverse business case submissions.
Our Principal Designer goal is to ensure safe and efficient delivery of construction schemes by the project lead, practically and without generation of excessive paperwork and administration.
We have NEBOSH qualified CDM advisors, who are proactive and practical and view the CDM 2015 procedures as a way to ensure safe design and avoid dangers on site without bureaucracy.
MDG offer a full interior design service from brief development, through statutory approvals to construction and completion.
We assist in developing the brief and budgets for interior improvements, including all interior finishes and furnishings. These can vary from small scale interventions such as space planning and colour advice through to full refurbishments and new builds.
We compile, design and co-ordinate all interior details. We use of 3D visualisation, sketches and presentation boards of all interior furnishings to assist you in the process.
Passive Fire Protection
We offer specialist fire protection surveys, providing professionally managed, cost effective fire compliant services to a wide range of clients.
We are certified BRE Fire Academy members, offering a full service from initial surveys, scheduling, tendering and contract administration of the works on site through to agreement of a final account.
Our one stop service to FIRAS approved standards provides confidence to clients that all of their buildings are fully compliant and would pass fire inspection, thus avoiding potential danger to life, fines or closure issues.
